I've put together some wonderful violin and piano programs over the past few years. Between the pieces I often include a spoken narrative that connects the pieces and adds a layer of meaning to the performance. Below is an example of the type of recital I have ready to perform:
“Dear Camilla” Duo (w/ piano)
In this program, Patrick reads letters from himself to his former teacher, Camilla Wicks, who is now passed away. The letters explore the legacy teachers and past generations pass on to their younger counterparts, much in the way composers pass on their music and insights to musicians and audiences.
