Patrick Galvin and pianist Jennifer Hou have been awarded a grant through InterMusic SF's 2026 Musical Grant Program, supporting a Bay Area recital tour of Dear Camilla, in January and February 2027.

The grant will fund five to six performances of the program across the Bay Area. Dear Camilla, pairs violin and piano repertoire with an original epistolary narrative honouring Galvin's former teacher, the violinist Camilla Wicks, whose instrument he now plays. Co-written with Hou and edited by NPR journalist Ninna Gaensler-Debs, the programme includes Every Wheel Turns, a three-movement work by composer Jolin Jiang reflecting on learning, mentorship, trust and loss.

The tour follows the release of the Dear Camilla, album on the Navona label in August 2025, recorded at Skywalker Sound, and an Australian tour with Hou in January 2026 that premiered Jiang's commissioned work in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Now in its nineteenth year, InterMusic SF's Musical Grant Program supports Bay Area musicians creating and presenting small ensemble music. The programme has awarded more than $1.3 million to over 444 projects since 2008. Galvin and Hou are among twenty-six recipients in the 2026 cycle, alongside projects spanning jazz, contemporary classical, Latin American, Filipina folk, Persian jazz fusion and electronic music.

Performance dates and venues will be announced closer to the tour.
